Some of the world famous peaks such as Machhapuchare (Fishtail) 6993m, Mount Hiuchuli 6441m, Gandarva Chuli are some of its neighboring peaks. The Himalayan range covers numerous peak comprising 10th tallest peak Annapurna 8091 m, likewise 17 peaks standing above 7000 m.

The beginning point of the trek is the place called Naya pul which is around 1 hour 30 minutes’ drive from Pokhara. Pokhara is considered as the paradise on earth and is the most famous tourist destination in Nepal. This trek is also famous as Annapurna Sanctuary trek while the trip can be started from any of the places in this region like form Dhumpus, Syauli Bazaar or Ghorepani. Annapurna Base camp trek can be achieved in 10-15 days duration however it can be shortened to seven or 9 days or extend to 15 days depending upon your leisure and rush.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Heartily welcome to you in Nepal. Our company Personnel will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport you will be transferred to three-star category hotel in a privately owned car. Hotel Check-in, resting time, freshen up time will be provided and you have to get ready for the meeting in the company office. The meeting includes the brief explanation of the activities, do and don’ts, and details description of the itinerary. Also, you will receive your permits to enter Annapurna Conservation Area. After the completion of the meeting you will be taken for welcome dinner accompanied with Nepali music, dance and cuisines in best typical Nepali restaurant with Nepali Themes.  

Day 2: Explore Kathmandu Valley and Trekking preparation (1,300m/4,264ft)

The sightseeing features some of the main landmarks and UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath Temple, Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa. This trip will freshen up your mind and will provide the opportunity to come across the culture and tradition of Nepal. Similarly, you will also experience the ancient royal lifestyle. You will come to see the rituals, belief, and lifestyle of people around the Kathmandu valley. After the trip, all of you are requested to gather in our office for the remaining trek preparation like finalizing your clothing and training to handle the trekking gear if necessary.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) 6 to 7 hour

The day will begin after your breakfast in the hotel. Total driving duration to Pokhara is around 6 to 7 hours in tourist bus and the distance is 200 km. You will get a chance to see the villages of Nepal, terrain farming, landscape hills and mountain on your way. You will see even Trishuli and Marsayndi River on your way. Your bus will stop for the lunch around one in highway hotels. After few hours you will reach Pokhara and our company representative will transfer you to a three-star hotel. Evening time will be utilized moving around lakeside and pubs and restaurants. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 4: Nayapul (2 hours) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,480m/4,855ft) 4 to 5 hour

After a lavish breakfast, driving northwest where the driver will take you up to Nayapool. Nayapool is the little village situated on the edge of Modhi Khola. This is the initial point of the trek. This is the place where you will be introduced to your guides and porters and the baggage will be handed over. Following the east bank of Modi River, you are now trekking your way to Birethanti. This is the place where the needed paperwork for a permit is carried out by your guide before entering Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). We are now climbing up to Tikhedhunga enjoying the rice and wheat fields, herds of mule and caravans loaded with supplies for Himalayan districts.The way penetrates some beautiful places as Lamdawali, Hile, and Sudame from where the clear picturesque view of Fishtail and Annapurna can be obtained. Once you will reach Tikhedhunga you can have a rest or even you can explore the hidden beauty of the tribal villages.

Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m/9,383ft) 6-7 hour

After filling your appetite, we now ignite our journey to Ghorepani. Your trek begins with discovering a bridge that has a roadway supported by cables at Tikhedhunga. You will pave your way through stone staircase following ethnic Magar village called Ulleri. After then, Beautiful Rhododendron, pine forest on your trail will track you till Ghorepani. The ambiance on your way will be so mesmerizing that it will be very difficult to forget it in a lifetime. Also, it reduces your weakness and tiredness of the trip. On Evening you will reach Ghorepani, biggest Magar community of that region where you are going for an overnight stay. The place is very rich with numerous restaurants, lodges, and hotels. If still not really tired and want to explore more you can just come out of the hotel room and walk around.

Day 6: Ghorepani to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,630m/8,628ft) 5-6 hour

This is the beautiful day of your trip as you are going to walk to poon hill, one and only vantage point of this trip where you can see the amazing view of Annapurna region. You will reach the place climbing 45 minutes steep hills from Ghorepani. The major objective of the early morning trip to Poon Hill will be for watching Sunrise. The view of golden view of Fishtail, Annapurna, Hiumchuli, Mardi, Dhaulagiri will take your breath away slowly as the light will beat the darkness. After the stunning view, you will return to Ghorepani to have breakfast. Following the breakfast, you will now pave your way and make Ghorepani to the east until Deurali Pass. The trail will lure you with the lust Rhododendron garden, pine forest and will climb up to Tadapani. Moreover, the sounds of caravans and birds will add extra bite to your trek.

Day 7: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2,360m/7,742ft) 6-7 hour

Grab your breakfast and from Tadapani we now hike to Chomrong. On your way, you will divide the trail at Thadapani separating Ghandruk and Chomrong. From there you climb down to thick forest and terraced fields, suspension bridge till you reach Kimrong river. Also, bird's eye view of Modi valley can be well analyzed from this place. Climbing up from Taulung you will now head towards Chomorong.This place is the inhabitants of Gurung community. From the place, you hike to Chomrong river through stone steps and again climb up intersecting the bridge till you reach Sinuwa.

Day 8: Sinuwa to Deurali (3,200m/10,498ft) 6 hours

Today the trek will follow to Deurali. After our breakfast at Sinuwa we are ready to walk almost about one and half hour with a backdrop rhododendron, conical forest to reach the place called Kuldighar. From there we climb down to bamboo forest where you can also notice some beautiful green ferns. Taking west direction from the river now you walk to Dhoban and Deurali which is going to take around 4 to 5 hours. You will even encounter Hiknu cave one your journey to Deurali.

Day 9: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130/13,549ft) 5-6 hour

The last stop before the Annapurna base camp, where we are having our breakfast and hike towards the steep of base camp. After Leaving Deurali you will now climb to avalanche site on Mount Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From there, the trials directed to left-hand side reaching Annapurna Sanctuary. Viewing the South Annapurna Glacier we now move forward to our principle destination Annapurna Base Camp. The distance from there to Annapurna South is around 2 hours walk. The Closest appearance of Annapurna III, Singhu Chuli, Hiun Chuli. Gangapurna Fishtail will compel us to forget the pain and tiredness of the whole trip. Overnight Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310m/7,578ft) 6-7 hour

Nothing can well describe the first light that falls on the Annapurna so we have to get up early before sunrise. You can witness and capture your lifetime achievement in your photo frame and head towards lodge to have breakfast. After then, climbing down to the stony valley from snowcapped mountain retracing your steps towards oak and rhododendron forest. You will reach back to Deurali to Dhoban where you will stay overnight in Bamboo.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780m/5,839ft) 5-6 hour

Enjoying breakfast in Bamboo after than finding your way to Kuldighar. And then to Sinuwa till you get back Tilche to Chhomrong village. You will hike down from Chhomrung to Taulung and reach Jhinu Danda. With the long hike, we now going to have rest for some time and enjoy hot spring bath on the shore of Modi river. The day you will be overnight rest at Jhinu Danda.

Day 12: Jhinu Danda to Pothana (1,890/6,200ft) 5-6 hour

Appreciating the greenery of the place we are hiking down to Pothana after our breakfast in Jhinu Danda. The trail descends to Modi River and intersecting the bridge then head to the east bank will reach the beautiful village of Gurung named Landruk. Climbing down from Landruk via oak and rhododendron forest crossing Tolka, Bhichok Deurali you will reach to Pothana. Pothana is the best place to view Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre. Moreover, the natural spring and waterfall on your journey down will provide extra zeal to your trip. Tonight stay in the lodge at Pothana.

Day 13: Pothana to Phedi and drive to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) 3-4 hour

After early morning breakfast in Pothana, it’s time to leave to Pokhara. A simple downhill stroll from Pothana proceeds till Phedi, over Dhampus. In Phedi, our vehicle will be anticipating our landing. With lovely recollections created over the previous days, we will now say goodbye to the Annapurna area, bounce into the car and move to Pokhara. We will enjoy rest of the time in shopping, exploring restaurants pub and antique shops in Lake Side. Overnight in Three-star hotel.

Day 14: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 6-7 hour

You will be transferred to the nearby bus station for your departure to Kathmandu. The bus will leave early morning to Kathmandu in Prithivi Highway. You will be getting one last opportunity to see the terrain, beautiful landscapes, fields, hotels, and motels each side of the highway. You will be stopped twice for your refreshments breakfast and Lunch. You will arrive Kathmandu in around 7 hours. And then advised taking hotel transfer. After freshen up we will pick you up to enjoy the traditional authentic Nepalese Style Dinner. It will be hosted by the company as a Farewell dinner celebrating our success over Annapurna base camp.

Day 15: Departure / Farewell day
